Tranquil IT Forum - Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains in detail how Tranquil IT and its affiliated partners (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", "Tranquil IT Forum" and "https://forum.tranquil.it") and phpBB (hereinafter referred to as "phpBB software" and "phpBB Limited") use all information collected during your usage sessions (hereinafter referred to as "your information").

Your information is collected in two different ways. First, when you browse "Forum Tranquil IT," the phpBB software will generate several cookies, which are small files temporarily downloaded by your computer's web browser. The first two cookies contain only a user ID and an anonymous session ID, which are automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third cookie will be created as you browse the topics on "Forum Tranquil IT," archiving all the topics you have viewed and thus improving your browsing experience.

While you browse "Forum Tranquil IT," we may also create a fourth type of cookie, external to the document, which is intended to cover only the pages created by the phpBB software. The second way is to retrieve the information you send us, which we then collect. This may include — but is not limited to — posting messages as an anonymous user, registering on “Forum Tranquil IT” (hereinafter referred to as “your account”) and the messages you post after registering and while logged in (hereinafter referred to as “your messages”).

Your account will contain at least a unique identifier (hereinafter referred to as "your username") and a personal password allowing you to log in to your account (hereinafter referred to as "your password"), as well as a personal email address. Your account information on "Forum Tranquil IT" is protected by the data protection laws applicable in the country hosting our server. All information, other than your username, password, and email address requested by "Forum Tranquil IT" during registration, is either mandatory or optional, at the sole discretion of "Forum Tranquil IT." In all cases, you can control which information from your account you wish to make public. Furthermore, you can choose whether or not to subscribe to the phpBB software mailing list via an option available in your account.

Your password is encrypted (using one-way encryption) to ensure its security. However, it is recommended that you do not use the same password on multiple websites. Your password is the key to accessing your account on "Forum Tranquil IT," so please keep it safe. Under no circumstances can anyone affiliated with "Forum Tranquil IT," phpBB, or any third-party website legitimately ask for your password. If you forget your account password, you can use the "I've lost my password" function, which is available by default in the phpBB software. This feature will ask you to specify your username and email address, and the phpBB software will then generate a new password so you can regain access to your account.

If you wish to request access to or withdrawal of your personal data, please contact us at: dpo@tranquil.it, mentioning your Tranquil IT Forum ID and your registration email.
