Hello,
I'm using the dotnet6 package (6.0.14.5) in 64-bit on a Windows 10 Education version 20H2 (windowsdesktop-runtime-6.0.14-win-x64.exe).
WAPT version: 2.3.0.13505 (rev c7fcb3a7).
It's probably related to a dependency of another platform that requires dotnet.
It's showing an error during auditing:
Auditing dotnet6
ERROR: Uninstall Key {96cf40b0-81d6-43ed-ad0e-611e67899196} is not in Windows Registry.
ERROR: Uninstall Key {ac916c06-1c22-495e-ae7e-b4e24fbbed14} is not in Windows Registry.
I haven't touched the package; it's the default one available in the TIS repository.
I saw that .NET version 7 was in the repository (I haven't tried installing it because I don't want to have both on my PC...).
Any ideas?
Regards,
packet tis-dotnet6

Hello, so it's not a downgrade in your case. It seems Windows Update can update .NET; we'll work on a new audit to take that into account.
Regarding your question about .NET 6 and 7, they can coexist without any problems, and you might have applications that require both to be installed. Applications using .NET 6 are not compatible with .NET 7. .NET 5 recently reached end of support, so it forces you to juggle between versions a bit.

Thanks. So, regarding the registry key errors, is it a problem with the WAPT package itself or with the machine (the software installed on the machine)?
