Hello,

I'd like to automate the installation of WAPT packages during deployment. I've managed to add them to Active Directory, but I want them to install automatically after a reboot without any manual intervention. Is this possible?

Thanks

, Cédric

Hello Cédric,

WAPT version, OS type, etc. (see forum rules above).

Is this an MDT, WADS, etc. deployment? Is it a WAPT agent deployment via GPO, post-OS installation, etc.? Are the package assignments by machine package, group, profile, OU, etc.?

Regards,

Denis

Hello,

thank you for your feedback.

WAPT version: 1.7.3.5,
OS type: Windows 10 LTSC 2021,
Deployment type: via MDT.
The WAPT agent deployment is via a GPO which is applied after adding the WAPT packages to the PC in Active Directory. Could this be the issue?
The package assignments are per machine package, meaning that with each deployment in the task sequence, I add the WAPT packages to the machine in Active Directory.

Hi Cédric,

well, I didn't know there were still WAPT 1.7 versions in production. :-) For your information, this forum is dedicated to supported WAPT versions, or to problems upgrading to supported versions (see forum rules).

The WAPT group profile section is based on the machine's group memberships, but this requires the client machine to have updated its memberships, so there may be a time lag.

Anyway, I encourage you to upgrade; there have been many improvements and security updates since version 1.7...

Best regards,

Denis
