Hello,
Is it possible to integrate this software into the WAPT store?
https://natbraille.org/index.php?lang=f ... e=down.php
Description:
NatBraille is free software for transcribing and detranscribing Braille. The project has been supported by the French Ministry of National Education since July 2008.
---
The software has a dependency on OpenJDK 8.
Thank you for your help.
Added an app to the Wapt store (Wapt public repository)

Hello,
I was able to retrieve and install it, the first attempt worked
by uninstalling natbraille via the self-service, it worked.
I then uninstalled OpenJDK 8 manually.
When I reinstall it, the dependency doesn't reinstall
; the log returns nothing. This
is normal in my opinion since the dependency isn't reinstalled
. Sincerely,

Hello,
When you manually remove the software, the registry key is still stored in WAPT, and therefore WAPT will not reinstall the dependency because it is considered already installed. The NatBraille software cannot install because it cannot find OpenJDK.
Sincerely,
Ingrid

Hello,
okay, thank you for your feedback.
When you say "registry key," are you referring to the key for natbraille or the dependency?
Uninstalling natbraille is fine;
leaving openjdk8 installed on the machine isn't a problem
, but in this test, it's not the result I expected.
Perhaps it's possible to adjust the package?
I worked on the packaging, but I ran into a problem with the natbraille uninstallation.
Thank you for your clarification.
Best regards,
Joshua

Hello,
In principle, when you install packages via WAPT, you must uninstall them via WAPT.
I imagine what you did was remove openjdk8 manually and then try to uninstall NatBraille using the self-service option or the console?
With WAPT, when there's a dependency, it's installed before the software, and during uninstallation, the dependency is also the first thing removed. In this case, if you removed openjdk8 manually, the registry key that WAPT looks for to uninstall openjdk is no longer there, hence the error you encountered.
But this is how WAPT works.
Sincerely,
Ingrid

Hello,
I uninstalled Natbraille using the self-service option, but the dependency wasn't uninstalled when I clicked "uninstall Natbraille," hence my manual uninstallation.
When I tried reinstalling Natbraille, it failed to reinstall the dependency.
Uninstalling the dependency through the self-service option and restarting the Natbraille software installation process resolved the issue.
I hadn't realized I could uninstall it through the self-service option.
So, it's all good for me
. Thanks again for your help!
Best regards,
Joshua
