WAPT Release 1.3.12.14

Hello everyone,

A minor update of WAPT (1.3.12.14) is available for download on our website; this version includes a security patch related to Python 2.7

The Python version in WAPT is now 2.7.13, which addresses a security vulnerability in Python 2.7 exploiting zip archive extraction (CVE-2016-5636) https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.c ... -2016-5636). Thanks to Mohammed OUVRARD for bringing this problem to our attention.

We recommend that you update your WAPT server and redeploy your agents with this version.

Good evening,

I just tried the 1.3.12.14 update on a Windows XP Pro virtual machine at home, and while the previous update went without a hitch, this one is proving stubborn:

- Error during post-config: HTTP/1.1.503 Service temporarily Unavailable.

The problem is that now nothing works (which is precisely why I'm testing for this kind of issue before implementing it at school).

I can't reproduce the problem at home.

What do the logs indicate?

I confess I don't quite understand what "logs" are... Could you enlighten me?

For your information, I installed the previous version (1.3.12.13) on a 1.3.9 system, then the latest one (1.3.12.14) afterwards, and it's at this stage that things get stuck, as you've probably read before. The post-configuration can't complete, even after several attempts by launching the .exe.

As for the snapshot that wasn't usable, I deleted it, but I can repeat the process if needed. However, not today, as the machine is being "reviewed" by our helpful technician.
