Hello,

I'm new to WAPT, and I don't understand how to update my packages in my private repository to match those available online (using the "Tis" package import function).

For example, I created a private package, ipg-adoreader, based on the online version, tis-adobereader.
My ipg-adoreader package is version 2020.9.20067-42 (the version of the tis-adobereader package when I created ipg-adoreader).

The current available version of tis-adoreader is 2020.9.20074-42.
How can I update my ipg-adoreader package to this version?
I thought it might be automatic (like apt-get in Ubuntu).

Sincerely,
EdG

No, with WAPT, it's not automatic like on Ubuntu, and the security model is designed that way.

You have to check what you import, and by signing, you become responsible for what you've imported.

Finally, the purpose of packages available online is to be a source of examples, not things you throw directly into production.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.
Regarding the tis-adobereader package, I hope I can trust it sufficiently. :)

To update my ipg-adobereader package, what should I do?
Delete the current ipg-adobereader package from my private repository, then recreate it from the latest version of tis-adobereader available online?
If so, will the client machines automatically update to the new version of my ipg-adobereader package?

Sincerely,
EdG
