[RESOLVED] Mass Uninstallation

Good morning,

We have been using WAPT for several years with satisfaction.

Today, we want to use it to uninstall a Wapt Firefox package in bulk from all workstations on the network. We removed the package from the group applied to our workstations, thinking that this would trigger the bulk removal on all workstations. We made a mistake. So we tested all of this:

We used several techniques:

• Uninstalling a single installation via the console

However, this does not meet our expectations. The methods we have identified and have at our disposal are:

• A GPO script that runs at session startup: `wapt-get remove` PACKAGE NAME

• Use an installation package from a remaining application to simultaneously uninstall the Firefox package

All of this surprises me. Can you confirm that WAPT allows bulk installation and updates of applications but not easy bulk uninstallation? If not, could you provide me with the documentation we could use to do this?.

Hello,

To uninstall a package, you must associate it with a machine by placing it in the Forbidden Packages.

In the console, the Required Packages tab on the machine will allow the installation of a package, while the Forbidden Packages will uninstall it.

You can select the machines affected by this uninstallation by right-clicking and selecting "Forbid Packages".

thank you for this feature, which I was already using. I was also using the bulk application propagation via the add-on. But like an idiot, I hadn't linked the two for uninstallation . Thank you so much. It makes so much sense to select all computers and block the package.
