Hello,
I just updated my console and some agents for testing to version 1.8.2.7267. I'm having a problem with the display of the 'IP Addresses' (connected_ips) column on our PCs. It's showing 5 IPv6 addresses (we don't use IPv6...) and the IPv4 address.
The problem is that the column's display size is limited, so for some PCs the IPv4 address isn't displayed; you have to retrieve the IPv4 address from the hardware inventory.
Is there a way to:
- disable the reporting of IPv6 information?
- display the IP Addresses column in a different order?
- display the main_ip information in a separate column instead of connected_ips?
Thank you in advance.
- Server OS: Linux CentOS 7
- Administration machine OS: Windows 10

Hi GeJ,
if you're not using IPv6, you can use https://store.wapt.fr/store/tis-disable-ipv6 (this is even more useful now with the IPv6 ping of death CVE-2020-16899).
I'm opening an internal ticket; if you have an enterprise license, you can contact support. If you're on the community server and have prepared a fix, feel free to submit a pull request on GitHub.
Regards,
Denis

Hello,
I'm reviving this thread:
I applied TIS-DISEABLE-IPV6 to my admin console, but I'm still seeing IPv6 addresses instead of IPv4, even with console version 1.8.2.7393. We only use IPv4 in our organization. How can I change this display?
Thank you
. Best regards.

Hello Fifonline,
Just so you know, official support for WAPT 1.8.2 will end soon (June 30, 2022).
Your best option for getting effective help here is to update your installation to 2.2 (Discovery or Enterprise).

Hello,
Thank you for the advice. I just upgraded from WAPT 1.8.2 to APT 2.2 and from Debian 10 to Debian 11.
Everything is working fine after the migration.
Since I only have about 150 workstations to manage, I'd like to stay on the Discovery version, but I don't have a license.
How can I obtain a proprietary license for WAPT Discovery?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards

Hello,
well done on the update.
Regarding Discovery licenses, we are currently implementing the mechanisms for Discovery licenses, so your question is perfectly valid.
The current way it works is that if there is no valid WAPT Enterprise license, then WAPT operates in Discovery mode. Therefore, there is nothing you need to do; you are using the Discovery version.
Sincerely.
