console problem on admin workstation

Hello,

I just updated the server running Debian Jessie from version 1.3.13 to 1.5.21 of WAPT Community.
When I log in to the console on my Windows 10 machine, everything opens correctly except that I don't have access to the commands to generate a new agent, reissue a certificate, or change the admin password. However, I can set a password for my private key. Furthermore, I can't retrieve my WAPT packages to modify them or do anything else; it seems the console is in single-user mode.

WAPT server: waptserveur.rayet.clg (Debian Jessie)
Windows console: 1.5.21
Primary domain: Windows, and all machines are in the domain, including the machine hosting WAPTserver.

Thank you in advance for your prompt reply, as I'm leaving for several months and my replacement isn't capable of managing Linux servers, and I don't want to leave them in a difficult situation.

Hello,

Did you follow the entire procedure from start to finish? https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/waptserver_u ... grade.html

If you would like quick assistance, we can offer you a remote update service. Please feel free to contact us by phone: 02.40.97.57.55

Yes, I followed the procedure; I even installed and reinstalled the console several times.
Unfortunately, the college's IT budget barely covers hardware repairs; otherwise, I would have gladly accepted. I always have the option of reverting to version 1.3.

You have password-protected the private key; you then need to generate a Code-Signing

. Following this, you must point to the Code-Signing certificate in the console options: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/waptserver_u ... de-signing.

Once the console is configured, you should be able to generate the WAPT agent version 1.5.

The password was generated as per the documentation, but I don't have access to the tool to generate a new certificate,
even after restarting the console or the service.

Is it possible to run the tool from the command line in Windows?

That's been done.
Thank you for your help, but I'm going to revert to version 1.3.13 and I'll look into it when I get back in 8 months.

Here it is: C:\private\rayet.key.pem.

I reverted to the old server using a disk image, so I just need to update the computers

again. Thanks for trying!

In version 1.5, the private key is no longer required, but the certificate (the private key must still be in the same directory).

Therefore, you must specify the ".crt" file, not the ".pem" file.

As shown in the documentation image: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/waptserver_u ... cle-privee
