Hello everyone,

Following numerous questions, we would like to provide some essential clarifications regarding WAPT's offerings.
No, the Community version is not limited to 300 workstations!

If you are using the Community version and do not wish to upgrade to the Enterprise version, that is your choice, and we respect it.

WAPT Community is available for all types of systems. However, we believe that for systems with 300 workstations or more, the Enterprise version is more suitable, as it is designed for larger systems or those with stringent security requirements, which often:
* require traceability of actions performed
* have multiple administrators
* seek professional support and guarantees regarding the software's operation
* require tools with simplified administration (multi-site, approval workflows, etc.)
* need graphical management reporting in addition to the purely operational reporting provided by the WAPT administration console.

Since 2012, we have been working with WAPT on a project aimed at simplifying the lives of system administrators. This project is more relevant than ever, which is why we've created a commercial offering that includes enhancements designed for managing a large infrastructure. We continue to deliver on our initial promise with a maintained and fully functional Community version for deploying software and configurations across a Windows environment.

We're taking this opportunity to reiterate our commitments:
1. To provide a tool enabling system administrators to deploy, update, and uninstall software and configurations.
2. We pledge never to remove features from the Community version for commercial purposes.
3. We are committed, as much as possible, to maintaining up-to-date documentation for the everyday use of WAPT Community.

Whether in Community or Enterprise, we're happy you're using WAPT! :D

Camille, you've summed up the company's positioning perfectly: those who want to go far choose the version that allows them to do so because there are no technical limitations.

I would even add that paying for a good product isn't a dirty trick in the free software world; quite the opposite.

I'd also like to thank Jordi, who recently purchased a package support contract from us, even though he could be teaching package creation. It's his contribution in return for the dozens of hours WAPT saves him every year, maybe even every month. Thank you, Jordi!

Free software is harmful to open source in the long run, and no one at Tranquil IT feels guilty about differentiating between the Community and Enterprise versions.

So take advantage of the Community version; it's free. And when you realize the added value WAPT brings, upgrade to the Enterprise version. The gains you'll make will be those of the Community version, multiplied by two or three.

Hoping this has shed some light on the discussion, Best ;)

regards,

Vincent
