- Installed WAPT version (Enterprise 1.6.2.1)
- Server OS (Linux) and version (Stretch)
- Administration/package creation machine OS (Windows 10)

Hello,

I'm looking for a solution to manage workstations with our business software (Accounting, HR, Inventory, Office suite, etc.). Is it possible for WAPT to avoid reinstalling all the software already present on the workstations, given that it wasn't originally installed by WAPT?

I created the packages for the business software for new installations, but when I deploy the WAPT agent on workstations already present in the network, WAPT reinstalls the software.

I looked at the command that allows me to see if the folder is present in Program Files or the registry key, but I wanted to see if you had another method.

Thank you.

The "install_msi_if_needed" or "install_exe_if_needed" commands serve precisely this purpose.
They check the registry for the presence of the specified uninstallation key and the currently installed version, and only initiate an actual installation of the setup if the key is not present or the version is lower than the required one.

Okay, I'll check.

I have some custom packages with the `run` command; that's probably why it's not working.
