[SOLVED] ADMX or GPO problem

Hello,
following up on Dcardon's request regarding my ADMX problem.

I retrieved the ADMX files and placed them in a PolicyDefinition folder located in sysvol/Policies.

These appear correctly in my GPO interface, but when I try to use a GPO from the administrative template, it doesn't work. However, it works from other directories (policy or preference).

I removed all languages except en-us, en-gb, and fr-fr, and I don't understand why. I tested setting the Chrome and Mozilla (ESR 60) homepages to custom (http://myweb.fr) , but nothing happens.

Thank you very much for your help,
Eric.

If you've uploaded all the ADMX templates, the Group Policy editor interface might lag a bit when opening. If you click on "Computer Configuration"/"Administrative Templates" and wait a minute or two, does it open properly? Loading all the ADMX templates takes at least a minute to display the contents of "Administrative Templates." It's best to only include the templates you actually need.

Sincerely,

Denis

Hello,
yes, it does take a little while to open, about 10 seconds. But it's not a display problem. The GPOs, when created from these ADMX files, are not being applied.

How can I troubleshoot this? I'm going to install the ADMX files for Office, Google, and Firefox and see if it works with only the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 policies.
I'll keep you posted.
Thank
you. Best regards,
Eric

Hello,
I tested it with only the new ADMX files for Windows 7, 2008 R2, and Firefox, and it works. I'll try it with Google and Office next time. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for the help; I deleted everything and started the installation from scratch.
Thanks,
Eric

Hello,
the solution of starting over from scratch works (reinstallation, but do it admx by admx).
Thank you very much,
Eric.
