Change of installation path

Hello,
Our infrastructure is managed using a model already implemented within the IT department. I would like to know if updating software already installed on a PC will change the installation path.
If so, is it possible to modify the software installation path before deployment?

WAPT launches software installers as if they were installed via the command line. The main difference is that it runs the installer as the LocalSystem account instead of a local administrator account. For any properly packaged software, the installation will take place in the same location as the default location when installed manually. However, if the software is malware that installs itself in the user's %APPDATA% directory, it won't work; you'll need to make sure it's installed in C:\Program Files.

If you have previously installed in non-standard locations, most installers remember this and note the installation location in the registry (as innosetup does, for example) and are able to perform the update in the same location.

Sincerely,

Denis
