Launch the application once the installation is complete

Sometimes, in certain organizations during these distant times of lockdown, we need to perform seamless updates to some user applications.
In my case, the kill command works, copytree2 works, but the run command waits for the software to close before completing; otherwise, it returns an error to the console after the timeout. However, after checking, everything seems to have gone smoothly.
Is there a way to simply verify that the software has launched correctly to complete the installation process?
- WAPT version installed: 1.8.1
- Server OS: Linux Debian Stretch
- Admin/package creation machine OS: Windows Server 2019 Standard
