Main site and remote site

Hello,
I've been using a WAPT server for my main site (a little over 200 workstations) and I'm very happy with it.
Recently, our remote site (around 30 workstations) was connected to our main site via a VPN. Therefore, I'd like to deploy a secondary WAPT server at this remote site.
I've read the documentation and I'm thinking of using the Syncthing feature (my site is too small for the Enterprise version), but I have a few questions:
- On the secondary site, once my server is installed with Debian 10 Buster, do I only install the tis-waptrepo package, or do I first perform a full WAPT server installation and then add the tis-waptrepo package?
- On my main site, the server is (currently) running Debian 9 Stretch. Is it a problem if the operating systems of the two servers are not the same?
So, if you have any advice on the setup or if you think my proposed configuration isn't correct, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
Sincerely,
