when I try to update the MSI in the tis-microsoft-edge package, it downloads the same version (79.0.309.68) but not the latest version (83).

This is probably related to the download link:

but how do I find the correct URL?

Yes, this had been fixed but not re-uploaded to the Store. Thank you for your feedback.
The package update will be available in a few minutes. Please re-import it; the update_package will then function correctly.
