Hello,

I'm testing this package which is used to pre-configure Thunderbird at the mail server, signature, etc. level.

I followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdKk6-2HpbM which differs slightly from the package available in the repository, but everything seems to be working correctly. I deployed the package to my machine, but my Thunderbird 68.3.1 (x64) client on Windows 7 (x64) isn't retrieving the configuration.

Looking at localhost:8088, the package is indeed present, but the pref.js file doesn't match the one in the package, as if the package has no effect.
The templates directory isn't being created, and therefore neither are the two configuration files.

I should mention that the package has a dependency , tis-thunderbird , which I removed from the control file because I have another Thunderbird package, thunderbird-68.3;68.3.1-63 x64 fr.


Do you have any ideas?

I uploaded the package to the server and then edited it from the console. Now the directory is created, the configuration files are copied, but I get a nasty error when launching Thunderbird.

The Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

This package needs to be completely updated following changes made by Mozilla. In the meantime, we advise against using the configuration package on the latest versions of Thunderbird.

We invite you to select another Thunderbird profile using the following command:
