WapT client and use of the Windows "hosts" file
Published: November 23, 2020 - 4:27 PM
Hello,
We have a problem with a business application that inserts an entry in the Windows hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) to link the address 127.0.0.1 to a fixed machine name (example: 127.0.0.1 local.appli.fr).
This causes problems with WapT (v1.7.3.5 Community version on a CentOS 7.6 server) because all workstations with this business application appear in the console with the same hostname. They therefore share the same configuration and all end up with the same packages.
Is there a way to work around this behavior in WapT?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Florian BETIL
