Hello,

I wanted to ask if WAPT Community will be discontinued soon? Will it be replaced by the Discovery version, which I've heard about?

And if so, what will be the difference between the Community version and the Discovery version? Are there any improvements?

, Tranquil IT has decided to stop contributing to the development of WAPT Community beyond version 1.8.2.

Our desire to offer a free version of WAPT (limited to 300 users) led to the creation of WAPT Discovery. Although based on Python 3, this version will function similarly to WAPT Community.

For the time being, WAPT Community remains available, and we are still working on WAPT Discovery.

Tranquil IT will no longer contribute any resources to version 1.8.2 as of November 2021.

However, Tranquil IT will continue its investments in WAPT 2.1 and beyond, which will become software products to be procured through the established and traditional IT distribution channels.

WAPT 1.8.2 in its current state (Python 2.7 in EOL, etc.) will remain permanently available on GitHub under GPLv3, but with potential support from a community whose response may vary in quality.

Tranquil IT will no longer guarantee the same level of support previously provided by the Community Edition, unless the user upgrades to the Discovery or Enterprise Edition.
