Hello,

We are using WAPT Enterprise 2.2 and I wanted to know if WAPT can display universal groups in the WAPT console in the AD Group list of the inventory tab?

Currently, I have successfully displayed the GG groups (as security groups). We just tested with the GU groups, but they are not appearing yet... perhaps it needs some time?

The machine's groups are retrieved using the `get_computer_groups` function of `setuphelpers`.

However, there is indeed a cache to prevent overloading Active Directory with requests.

You can force a refresh by using the `force group policy` command from the console.

we managed to see the GU. But for it to work, it seems the post needs to be directly within the GU.

We tried putting the post in a GG, which was itself within a GU. In this scenario, it doesn't work. There's apparently some kind of group membership level involved. Is that correct?

Nested groups have never been supported; indeed, we read that

only direct members of `memberOf` are supported.

Supporting nested groups would require too many requests to Active Directory.

Perhaps one day we could implement an option in `wapt-get.ini` to support them, but this would increase the load on Active Directory.

Which console are you referring to? The WAPT console? If so, how? (I haven't seen that option on the console)

, yes, from the WAPT console, refreshing the GPOs also forces the groups to refresh.
