install fonts

Hello,

I inherited a software update management system using WAPT from my predecessor. I'm managing to update the software, albeit with some difficulty.
I want to install fonts on my client machines.

I imported the tis-add-fonts package and followed the same procedure as for a new software version to integrate it into the private repository, but of course, it only contains the Inconsolata font.
I tried editing the new package in the private repository; this opens a directory on my PC where I can add my fonts and remove the other one, but it doesn't upload it to the server repository on my virtual machine.
I tried "Download and edit" instead of "import," but again, this opens a directory on my PC, and there's no transfer to the private repository.
I tried using the "Generate a package template" tool, but it expects to find an executable file, not fonts.

How can I install my fonts on my client machines?

There's quite a bit of documentation on creating or modifying a package. Which part of the documentation is unclear?

To be honest, for a beginner taking over from someone who installed the Wapt behemoth and then left, pretty much all the documentation is incredibly esoteric.

But when I delve into the details of package creation, I discover how to create simple and advanced MSI packages, simple and advanced EXEs, and MSU packages, but at no point is it explained how to add fonts to a package so it resembles `tis-add-fonts`, or how to modify `tis-add-fonts` to include my own fonts.

So I was counting on a smart solution for installing fonts, and I've reverted to the old, simple method of going from computer to computer to install them.

Your predecessor left you a rather generous gift by introducing you to WAPT.

At the top of this forum page, there are some helpful instructions to follow to ensure a smooth transition to this community support site. People who forget these instructions the first time usually correct themselves to show they deserve the help they seek.

Furthermore, there are some points to be aware of and very practical tips in the documentation that are best followed; these are usually highlighted in red, orange, or blue. I'll point you in the right direction for one solution.

Finally, there are some very skilled WAPT users on this forum. I hope they will give you their attention. For now, you don't deserve it.
