Hello,

I'm installing WAPT.

The installation went smoothly. Retrieving the package from the repository also went well.

I've now reached the step of setting up the GPO to deploy the WAPT client to the PCs.

I tried following the guide available here: Deployment via GPO with WaptDeploy using an HTTP share.

Unfortunately, I can't find waptdeploy.exe on my HTTP server.

How do I generate this executable?

Thank you.

Hello,

Currently, there is no mechanism to ensure that waptagent.exe is present after a WAPT installation on a Windows server. If you install WAPTserver on a Debian Linux machine, the tis-waptsetup.deb package includes it.

Therefore, you will need to download waptdeploye.exe from http://wapt.tranquil.it/wapt/releases/latest/ and place it in your WAPT repository.

I will modify the documentation to address these questions.

That's perfect. Thank you for your reply.

So, regarding the GPO, the script settings as of August 19, 2015, to be precise:

Code: Select all

1.2.3.2
And, in the "waptdeploy.version" file, I put this:

Code: Select all

1.2.3.2
http://wapt/wapt/waptdeploy.exe
Thank you for the excellent work.

Hello,

how can it retrieve our repository URL given that we've provided it on the repository itself?

Thank you
. Sincerely.
