Wapt with VPN

Hello,

I regularly have users on my network who are connected via VPN using the FortiClient client. However, while I can see them connected in the WAPT console, the packages do not install or download when the workstations are shut down or restarted. Do you have any idea what the problem might be and, if so, how to fix it?

Server OS: Debian 11
Administration machine and test machine OS (in this case): Windows 10
WAPT version: 2.4.0.14058

Hi Duane,
do you have any remote repository rules? If so, you need to check that the repository selected by the machine is accessible.

Hello Denis, yes and the machine is accessible because the package installation is carried out correctly by force.

Hello Duane,
the packages are not downloaded when the workstation is shut down. They are downloaded approximately every 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Only packages cached on the machine are installed by waptexit. Indeed, there are many cases where access to the WAPT server is no longer available, particularly when the VPN is set up in a user session.

Do the workstations in question have a VPN session open for a sufficient amount of time? If not, if this meets your needs, you can shorten the update check interval.

Best regards,

Denis
