WAPT Enterprise, Discovery & AD
Published: July 4, 2023 - 5:20 PM
Hello,
I've been testing the solution since yesterday. I installed WAPT 2.4 on a Debian 12 VM, following the official WAPT documentation and a post on it-connect.fr.
I had to make a few adjustments (for example, adding the rsyslog and syslog-ng packages), but the installation went smoothly. I tried to follow the procedure to register the server with Active Directory, but without success: I got an error when using msktutil. Since I don't have a Windows PKI, I lowered the security level for LDAP, but that didn't help.
From what I've read online, I understand that the Discovery version I'm using for my POC doesn't allow for AD (Kerberos) registration of workstations. Can you confirm my understanding?
If so, I continued by enabling registration without authentication as suggested by the wizard.
Finally, in the WAPT admin console, only one computer is showing up. Did I miss something?
Thank you for your support,
Ludovic
