[RESOLVED] Duplicate machines

Hello everyone,

I've had a small problem with my WAPT server since last week. Some machines have duplicated themselves on the console, and since the license is based on the number of machines, I'm exceeding my license limit because I have so many duplicates. For the same machine with the same name and IP address, I sometimes have up to 4 instances (of course, only one of the 4 is connected), which is consuming license resources. Do you have a solution?

Sincerely,

To better understand the problem

, for duplicate machines, can you list the different UUIDs for the same machine?

Thank you for the quick reply.
On one of the machines, my UUID is the machine's FQDN, namely ctaillendier-tsd23.mondomaine.local, and on the other machine, the inactive one, I have 0F68D2CC-277C-11B2-A85C-846312AD0DA5

Apparently, during the last generation of the WAPT agent, you changed the unique identification method for WAPT agents. See the documentation:

https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-configu ... apt-agents.

The documentation clearly states:
Once a mode of operation has been chosen, it is difficult to change it, so think carefully!

Machines are therefore re-registering with their names. The old machine will then appear as disconnected.

You must therefore delete all the old machines.

You can filter the console columns by UUID to quickly identify machines registered by name and those registered by UUID.

I'll take a look. Regarding the agent version, it should normally remain on the same options as the last generation, so I might have missed it. Thanks for the feedback and have a great day!
