Hello,

we are going to set up a WAPT server. I wanted to know which OS is the most optimal and recommended between Windows and Linux (and for Linux, CentOS is recommended if I read correctly?).
The hardware specifications are in the documentation, I imagine...
I bought 90 licenses; these will mainly be for security purposes, to update browsers and other software with security vulnerabilities.

A Linux server is preferable, primarily because the nginx service is more comprehensive and performs better on Linux than on Windows.

For small organizations that aren't constrained by distribution choices, Debian will be your best option, as our infrastructure at TIS is based on Debian.

In our documentation, CentOS is listed before Debian, likely due to alphabetical order.
