Help with creating Packet

Good morning,

A friend told me about WAPT last night and it seems like a good alternative to SCCM.
I am therefore testing it in order to deploy it in my company.

Following the tutorial "Creating a package from an MSI", I encountered a problem when testing my package: the console asked me for "Waptservice User" credentials

- I'm trying with the WAPT admin account:

Code: Select all

C:\>wapt-get install C:\waptdev\-7-zip15.12x64edition-wapt
About to speak to waptservice...
Waptservice User () :admin
Password: ********
Exception at 005755E5: EIdHTTPProtocolException:
HTTP/1.1 401 UNAUTHORIZED.
- I'm trying with the local admin account:

Code: Select all

C:\>wapt-get install C:\waptdev\-7-zip15.12x64edition-wapt
About to speak to waptservice...
Waptservice User () :doc sly
Password: **********
Installation de C:\waptdev\-7-zip15.12x64edition-wapt (task #4)
.Indisponible(s) : C:\waptdev\-7-zip15.12x64edition-wapt
Can you enlighten me?

Mzeci in advance.

architecture : all
section      : base
priority     : optional
maintainer   : Doc Sly
description : automatic package for 7-Zip 15.12 (x64 edition) (Igor Pavlov)
depends      :
conflicts    :
sources      :
- the "setup.py" file:

Code: Select all

# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
from setuphelpers import *

uninstallkey = ["{23170F69-40C1-2702-1512-000001000000}"]

def install():
    print('installing -7-zip15.12x64edition')
    run(r'"7z1512-x64.msi" /q /norestart')

You're trying to install it yourself by forcing the installation; for that, you need an admin account on the PC or an admin account on the domain that has permission to install programs on that PC.
Otherwise, you can force the installation from WAPT, which will launch the program as a service to install it.

Yes, it works.
I'll test other packages.

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing the same issue with both the local account and the domain admin account.

Message:
Unavailable: C:\waptdev\tis-vnc_2.7.10.0-0_all

Elminio
