Hello, I
have a WAPT Enterprise server 2.5.4 15342 on a CentOS 7 server with Windows 10 22H2 clients.
I would just like to know if I'm correct:
For the installation of a new package, it will install immediately based on the audit, or every 60 minutes by default.
For a package update, it will only happen when the machine shuts down using wpatexit if the package is detected after an upgrade search, every 120 minutes by default.
Installing and updating packages: how it works

Hello yann83,
WAPT works on the same principle as Debian, update/upgrade.
By default, WAPT agents check every 2 hours if they have pending actions on the WAPT server.
If so, the agents download the necessary items, cache them, and wait for the execution order:
- when the machine shuts down (the standard method)
- a scheduled task (useful for servers, for example)
- a user triggers the update by clicking an icon on the desktop (for example, the laptops on nurses' carts in hospitals when they take their breaks)
- finally, the WAPT administrator can force an immediate upgrade (use case for a malicious vulnerability that is being exploited).
