[SOLVED] GLPI Package - MAC OS

Wapt version: 2.5.5.15697 - Enterprise Edition
Server OS: Debian 12
Os Target machines: MAC OS 13.6.3 & 14.5
Os Machine administration: Win server 2022

Good morning,

We would like to install GLPI on the few Macs in our infrastructure. I'm hoping someone here can help see if they've already done this. We've downloaded the glpi-agent 1.11-0 package for macOS and installed it on a Mac.

First question: GLPI configuration files are supposed to be located under /Application/GLPI-agent/etc/conf.d, but on the Mac we only have /Application/GLPI-agent/var. Is this normal?

Second question: Following up on the first question, I plan to create a package to generate the configuration file, which apparently needs to be named local.cfg. Should I create it in the missing directory structure, namely /etc/conf.d?

Third question: the piece of code I was planning to implement

Code: Select all

def install():
    fichier=open(r'/Applications/GLPI-Agent/etc/conf.d/local.cfg',"w+")
    fichier.write("server=http://......./glpiinventory/)
    fichier.write("\ntag=Mairie)
    fichier.write("\nhttpd-trust=127.0.0.1/32,x.x.x.x/24)
    fichier.write("\nrunnow=0)
    fichier.write("\nedebug=1)
    fichier.close()
Thank you for your feedback

Solution provided on the TranquilIT Discord by Bastien (thanks to him :p)
  • Downloading the glpi-agent package
  • Creating a local.cfg file with the GLPI configurations

Code: Select all

server= adress srv glpi
tag= tag si necessaire
httpd-trust=127.0.0.1/32, x.x.x.x/x (permet d'attendre le poste avec agent pour forcer inventaire de la forme http://@ip:62354)
runnow=0
edebug=1
  • Create a blank package with a command line to allow copying the config file (this file must first be copied to the package folder located in waptdev)

Code: Select all

# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
from setuphelpers import *

def install():
    filecopyto(r'local.cfg', r'/Applications/GLPI-Agent/etc/conf.d/local.cfg')

def uninstall():
    if isfile(r'/Applications/GLPI-Agent/etc/conf.d/local.cfg'):
        remove_file(r'/Applications/GLPI-Agent/etc/conf.d/local.cfg')
