[RESOLVED] Global software inventory linking issue
Published: January 30, 2025 - 10:14 AM
Hello,
I'm trying to use the new feature in version 2.6: "automatically match installed software with corresponding package in the software inventory tab".
I understand that for the match to work, the software name in the software inventory needs to be normalized to the name of the corresponding package.
The software inventory for each of my workstations correctly displays the software, and the reporting via the PostgreSQL database also works.
However, the global software inventory, where names can be normalized, doesn't show all the software present.
For example, on several of my workstations, I have 7-Zip version 24.09, which corresponds to the package version.
But in the software inventory, I only see version 24.08, which is present on very few workstations.
I would like to know if it's possible to resynchronize the global software inventory, or if there's another method to use the new matching feature.
