[SOLVED] WUA: orange led needs reboot
Published: March 12, 2025 - 09:24
Hello,
with WSUS, users had a small orange LED next to the Start button and in the taskbar when a Windows update was waiting for a reboot.
We now use WUA to deploy these updates, and this information has disappeared.
Often, the update downloads when the PC shuts down without any notification to the user; the Microsoft ring just spins in a loop with "Shutting down" without any further information.
We can see as administrators on the WAPT console that the computer is "Waiting for restart," but not from the user.
Is there a way to restore this type of information for the user?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Have a good day.
