Hello,

I am contacting you regarding WAPT version 2.6.1.17705 and its integration capabilities with Microsoft Entra ID/Intune.

We would like to understand how to connect WAPT to Entra ID so that we can access a workstation organization (tree/OU type) directly within the WAPT console, in an environment without on-premises Active Directory.

The goal is to facilitate targeting, filtering, and managing machines within WAPT.

Do you have any documentation, a configuration guide, or a procedure for this integration?
We would also appreciate any recommendations regarding best practices and security aspects related to this implementation.

I started looking into this and there are some technical issues.

From It what I've seen, the workstation doesn't know which group it belongs to. It doesn't know much at all.

's not very practical... (only Azure knows, from what I understand).

To recreate a host tree, you can use: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-console ... -for-hosts.

In wapt-get.ini, add:

host_organizational_unit_dn= OU=test,DC=entra,dc=id.


For example

, there should be a WAPT package that automatically places the correct value in host_organizational_unit_dn based on entra...

Would it be possible to have an audit package that would run at regular intervals and create/modify a configuration package to match the workstations in the Entra OUs with information identifying the workstations on both sides?

That was kind of the idea I had, or rather, the point I was making while writing the message.

Is a connection to Azure AD not available since version 2.6.1?
If so, do you have a procedure to connect WAPT to Azure AD? Beyond creating groups, self-service would be useful.

OAuth/EntraID support isn't available in version 2.6.1. It will be available in version 2.7, which should be released soon. The documentation will be updated to reflect this new feature when it's released.

We've been using 2.7 at the office for a while now, and sometimes we forget that certain features haven't been released yet... The changelog is your best friend then [1]. Best
