[RESOLVED] Pronote and EDT client packages

Published: August 25, 2026 - 02:21

Hello,

With the start of this school year, would it be possible for you to update the Pronote and EDT client packages from the store, please?
Could you also include an option in the script to allow automatic updates for the clients?
I believe that most schools are waiting for this update, and I haven't been able to create a working installation script this year...

Thank you in advance for your time, sincerely.

Hello, the new versions of Pronote and EDT client are currently in PREPROD : https://wapt.tranquil.it/store/fr/detai ... EPROD.wapt https://wapt.tranquil.it/store/fr/detai ... EPROD.wapt They will be released to the production store within 4 days. We recommend using WAPT to update WAPT packages. If you still want them to update automatically, there is a service that handles the updates for Pronote and EDT: run_powershell( 'Set-Service -Name "MajIndexEducationService" -StartupType Automatic; ' 'Start-Service -Name "MajIndexEducationService"' ) Sincerely, Kevin.

Hello Kevin,

The problem is that the EDT package in preprod does not work.
I import it into my console and then perform an update-package.
It updates the binary correctly, as well as:
setup.ini
install_config.iss
uninstall_config.iss

The files are correct with the correct version key: {85CBC887-2105-4032-BBB2-4F88108AB7CC}

However, the Wapt installation consistently crashes with the following error:

Code: Select all

I've tried adapting the script, but nothing works; I've been struggling since yesterday. There might be a change in installation behavior in the new EDT binary. Could you take a look at it? It's critical software here...

Thank you in advance for your time!

Hello,

surprisingly the package works in Luti on our system

https://luti.tranquil.it/get_folder_res ... luZG93cw==

(following the modification, obviously)

Hello Ramses,

why are you creating an update_package?

You can use the package as is. You can try these different actions to resolve your problem:
1. Remove the pre-production package currently present in the private repository.
2. Re-import the pre-production package into the private repository.
3. Run the update on a machine.

Hi Ramses,

could you please test if the updated package from the store is working correctly on your end? If it works, it means the update package behaves differently on your network than on the Luti farm, which is a problem in itself, but it gives us a starting point for troubleshooting :-)

(and yes, for your type of organization, it is indeed critical software :-) ).

Hello everyone,

I carried out some new tests.
- The 2025 package downloaded from the Wapt store works
- Package 2026 (preproduction release) downloaded from the Wapt store does not work. The following error occurs (still at line 51 as previously reported):

Does the package install correctly on your system?

Thank you, best regards.

Hello,

Yes, I just tested the upgrade from version "2025.2.11-4" to "2026.2.5-4" and I'm not encountering any errors. In your case, it seems the installation is causing a problem, most likely related to the previous version.

Have you tried first uninstalling the old version of edt-client, then installing version 2026 on at least one of the workstations?

Hello,

yes, it seems to work when I put the old package (which doesn't have the same name) in conflict mode; the installation of the new one works.
Thanks for the tip. Problem solved.
