[RESOLVED] 2.7.0.19597 macOS Agent: waptservice fails to start – ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'six'

Positions: macOS 15.7 and 26.6 / 26.7 (Apple Silicon)

Good morning,

After updating the macOS agent to 2.7.0.19597, the waptservice crashes on startup: the Mac no longer shows up in the console.

launchctl list shows the service without PID (it.tranquil.waptservice not started).

Workaround applied

sudo /opt/wapt/bin/python3 -m pip install --target /opt/wapt/lib/python3.11/site-packages six
sudo launchctl kickstart -k system/it.tranquil.waptservice

After that, the service starts, reconnects to the server and reappears in the console.

Module six appears to be missing from the macOS build of the agent. Is a fix planned?

you can download version https://wapt.tranquil.it/releases/wapt- ... -b35845cd/ , it's fixed. It was related to the python-pam module which had removed the six dependency even though it still needed it...
