I would like to know how to integrate an XPI file (plugin) into the Thunderbird installation so that it is active when the application starts.

Is this possible?

the official Mozilla technique that works for Thunderbird and Firefox:

You can also use the tis-firefox-ublock package available in the tranquil.it repositories.
