Hello.
In the console (v1.3.5), the "groups" display column is now empty.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello,

do you have the group_name.wapt file in C:\wapt\waptserver\repository\wapt?
Did the problem appear after a specific action or did it just happen overnight?

Regards

Re.
Yes, the names are there, in var/www/wapt in my case.
The Holy Spirit must be called Raphael, me in this instance... I don't know when it started, but I think it's after the server change, switching from a Windows server to Debian.
I'm attaching screenshots.

Yes,

indeed, there's a good chance that's the reason.
I think that when you migrate from one to the other, certain parameters are lost, including the group, unless the personal packet on each machine carries this information (to be confirmed).
Just out of curiosity, why did you switch from one to the other?

There's a chance, but I created new package groups and they don't appear either. Weird.

The Windows server version works perfectly, but the PC was also used as a backup for our educational server. So I installed OpenMediaVault (which is Debian-based) instead of Windows 10, and WAPT as well.

I already asked TIS about this; here's their reply: "There are many advantages to having a Debian server instead of Windows...
but it's also a matter of habit:
- quick to install (a very basic 32-bit Debian + the tis-waptserver package which installs the dependencies)
- lighter "hardware" requirements (a Debian Wapt server: 256MB of RAM, 30GB of disk space for the Wapt packages. A "current" Windows server is a bit more...). We've set up Wapt servers on Raspberry Pi equivalents running Debian.
- easy to duplicate: rsync is enough
- easy to back up: rsync is enough... -> tisbackup
- easy to administer (ssh...) and update (apt...)
- no Windows license to purchase and manage, although for some administrations, it's not expensive.

And for those who don't yet know Debian, it's a good opportunity to try it...

Hi again,

thanks for the reply. The advantages are actually the flexibility of administration and the environment that Linux offers compared to Windows, which is significant. But in my case, the future managers don't want to deal with Linux; they're allergic to it. ^^

Let me know if your problem gets resolved.
Best regards.
