Package staging

Hello,

is it possible to test new versions of a package with a group of users before deploying them to all machines?

On our Macs, we use Munki, and this deployment software has a "catalog" concept. Most machines are in the "production" catalog, but I also have a "staging" catalog for a few machines where I can test a package before pushing it to everyone.

This can save a lot of trouble!

Hello,

the next version of WAPT will include package maturity management.

For example, only machines authorized to install a Release Candidate (RC) version will be able

to do so. In the meantime, a workaround is to use a secondary repository.

Only machines with the secondary repository will see the new package.

To further enhance security, this secondary repository will contain packages signed with a different key; only machines possessing this other public key will be able to install them.

This new feature is interesting. Any idea when the new version will be released? (Days, weeks, months?)

Thanks!

We are currently focusing on ongoing projects (transition to PostgreSQL).

There's a lot on the roadmap!

We're concentrating on the new features that some of you are funding. ;)
