Prerequisites for a Wapt server

Hello,

I currently have a Wapt VM running smoothly on my machine with two test machines.

Obviously, this gives me little information about the machine's capacity to handle Wapt Server for 200 machines.

Do you have any user feedback on RAM and CPU requirements for this type of setup?
We would be using Wapt for everyday tasks, such as Firefox, Chrome, Flash, Java, etc.

There will be no deployment of Office applications; these will always be done during installation.

Thank you and have a good day.

Hello,

For 200 workstations, we recommend a virtual machine with 2 CPU cores and 2GB of RAM, running in a Linux environment (CentOS or Debian).

The main load occurs during package downloads; in this case, allow the normal agent update cycle to run and avoid forcing package deployment from the console, except in emergencies.

By default, every 2 hours, workstations will query the package index on the WAPT server for updates and, if necessary, pre-download the packages locally for installation when needed.

Happy deploying!

Alexandre
