Visibility of a group in the self-service portal

Hello,
is it possible to make a group "restricted" like you can for a package?
I'd like to define a group of packages that are installed by default on my machines, and I don't want it to be visible in the self-service interface.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, to put it simply, no.
But you can very well create a package with dependencies (which therefore behaves like a group package) and put it in restricted mode.

Yes, that's one solution.
Otherwise, you can add a restricted-group section for the groups.

Something else seems odd to me:
If I have a "restricted" package in a group (so the group is visible to the user in the portal), the package appears in the group's package list on the portal, and the user can therefore install it.
Shouldn't the package also be invisible in this list?

No, the behavior is normal so far.
Dependencies are not impacted for the restricted version.
