WAPT update error from 1.7.4 to 1.8.2.7393

Hello,

After downloading what I believe are the correct files from the FTP server (there are quite a few), I'm using the Enterprise version on a Windows Server 2016 server.

1/ I first installed waptsetup.exe: the console launches after an error message, but remains at version 1.7.4.
2/ I then installed waptserversetup.exe, using the same certificate and generating a new agent.

The console doesn't open, and I get the following message: HTTP/1.1 401 UNAUTHORIZED, but the prompt specifies that I am indeed on version 1.8.2.7393.

If anyone has any ideas... Thanks in advance.

There's no FTP for downloading... I think you're talking about https://wapt.tranquil.it/wapt/releases/ ... -75a5de09/ There are a lot of files, which is normal, as there are several versions and several supported operating systems, but normally you would download them from the documentation...

You should not install waptsetup.exe on the WAPT server under Windows, see the documentation, so it's normal that it didn't work.

There's a bit of a lack of information... Is the server running correctly? Is the HTTP test page displaying correctly? Are the login/password correct? Is there a special character in the password (there were some encoding bugs back then)? Do you have any specific information in the server logs?

Sincerely,

Denis

Hello,

I'm writing on this forum because the documentation is very sparse. And yes, the updates are downloaded via this FTP server; sorry, that's all I have.

Thank you for your help (or rather, for your comments... I understand that we haven't opted for a "telephone support" solution).

Here's our solution: continue using version 1.7.4 until the end of the subscription, then choose a more user-friendly and simpler deployment solution, which we've already found.

Sincerely.

Hello,

during your installation (which you can restart), could you reset the administrator account password?

Could you please confirm that you are running the installation with the LOCAL administrator account on the server? (not the domain admin account)
