[RESOLVED] Self-service access issue for some users

Hello,

Self-service is configured on our WAPT 2.6.0.17226 server so that all Active Directory Domain Users can access our software catalog.

It works well for most users, but some are unable to use self-service on their PCs. In WAPT 2.5, they couldn't even log in. Since WAPT 2.6, they see an empty catalog.

What's strange is that their account works fine on the self-service portal of another PC.

Conversely, we can log in to the self-service portal on their PC with a different user account.

The self-service package appears to be properly deployed and up-to-date across the entire network.

Do you have any idea what might be happening for these users?

Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Hello,
it's possible they have a local account with the same name as the domain account on the machines in question.

Best regards,
Bertrand

Hi

@Bertrand, do you think it would be possible to create a WAPT audit package that would retrieve the list of AD users and check if a corresponding login exists for a profile?

That would be a useful addition to the AD toolbox we're currently building.

Hello,

I've checked with several affected users and they do indeed have a local account with the same name as their domain account.

We'll sort this out.

Thank you for your help.
