[SOLVED] WAPT agent on raspberry pi zero rev2015

Hello,

on my Raspberry Pi Zero (Debian Trixie), the armhf agent 2.7.0.19593 is not working.
I understand that Pi Zeros run on armv6 and not armv7.
Is this a plausible explanation?

I get this error at runtime:
An unhandled exception occurred at $00032B50:
EAccessViolation: Access violation
$00032B50.

Otherwise, everything else works. The server is on Debian Trixie (discovery), several agents work on Trixie, Ubuntu 26.04, and Windows 11... as well as the armhf version on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have a ticket about this, but the client hasn't called to look into it with him.

Please call our support line so we can look into it together.

Hello,

I'm not requesting commercial support for such a small thing. If the armhf binaries aren't compatible with armv6, I'll simply replace the Pi Zeros with Pi 4s.

Have a good day.

This will be free support in this case (it's a problem in Wapt that I can't reproduce here)

My Pi Zeros are "version 1", with BCM2835 chips and an ARM1176JZF-S processor; apparently, this version has been discontinued since 2005.
I think it's time I replaced them.

Pi Zero version 2s use a BCM2710A1, a 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 processor

Hi Guillaume,

indeed, it won't work on Pi 0 rev1s... I do have a Raspberry Pi 1 Model B lying around. When I have some time, I'll look into what can be done with it for WAPT. That said, it's really, really slow. A Raspberry Pi 4 is a supercomputer by comparison. :-)

Note: if you're using Raspberry Pi 5s, you need to be careful about the type of kernel loaded. The default Raspberry Pi kernel has a non-standard memory page size, and that causes problems. You need to use a "normal" kernel.

I'm marking this topic as resolved.

Best regards,

Denis
