Buster packs?
Hello,
In the Samba4 installation tutorial on Debian, it says:
`echo "deb https://samba.tranquil.it/debian/samba-4.10/ $(lsb_release -c -s) main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tissamba.list`

Re: [SOLVED] Update from 4.8 to 4.9
Okay, so I've updated from Stretch to Buster without any major issues.
However, I'm still on version 4.10.11 "buster," because it's the only "buster" version in your repository.
Is this a mistake? Or do I need to add "stretch" to tissamba.list? Or perhaps you only compiled the "stretch" version...

Re: [SOLVED] Update from 4.8 to 4.9
Hello,
Given that I'm running Debian 9.13 (stretch) and Samba 4.9.11-Debian, is a "dist-upgrade" to Buster feasible without integrating it into Active Directory, in your opinion?
Since my Active Directory is in production, I'm hesitant to perform this upgrade.
Sincerely,
Maelvon

Re: Slow profile loading on some client workstations
Okay, I finally found part of the problem.
Discord and Autodesk were storing small but very large quantities of JSON files.
I managed to remove them from the synchronization. My connection time is back to normal.

Re: Slow profile loading on some client workstations
Okay, so I should probably look in the logs of my Windows 10 clients. But the logs don't seem very detailed there; in any case, I can't find any conclusive logs... I'm also wondering if it's related to a lot of cache files, like in the Firefox browser profile, which...

Slow profile loading on some client machines
Hello,
I have some user profiles that take ten minutes to log in, displaying a long "please wait for user profile service" message. I can't find any conclusive information in the logs of my Samba4 server, nor on the Windows 10 machines.
What could be the cause?

Re: 26-character limit for reader mappings
Thanks for the info about "Junction Point".
To take this a step further, is there a way to automatically mount shares using a GPO? Like you can do in RSAT with "drive mapping" for drive letters. Drive mapping only allows...

26-letter limit for reader mappings
Hello,
I currently share folders on my NAS (Samba shares) with my users via a "Drive Mapping" GPO that mounts shares based on their group membership. However, I have many shares, more than twenty-six, and I'm exceeding the drive letter limit...

[RESOLVED] Update from 4.8 to 4.9
Hello to the entire Tranquil.it team,
I'm currently running version 4.8 and I saw that you've updated the installation tutorial for 4.9. There's also a Wiki page for upgrading from 4.7 to 4.8. But do you have a tutorial handy for upgrading from 4...
