So I reinstalled the server with Debian 9.9 and the script works much better,
which goes to show that following recommendations sometimes helps...

I'm updating this thread because I'm getting the exact same message when running the post-conf script.
I have Wapt version 1.7 and I'm using Debian version 10 (Buster).
