I uninstalled agent 1.8 and manually installed agent 1.7.4, and bingo, the applications are visible.
Something must be missing in agent 1.8 for machine registration or server connection?
I can use self-service in 1.7.4, but I still don't have the status...

[Resolved] Machines not visible after 1.8 installation, OK after 1.8.1
Hello,
I updated WAPT from 1.7.4 to 1.8 on Windows without any problems. I can see all the existing machines without any issues.
The problem is: the new machines are not visible; they are created, but I can't install anything.

Re: [SOLVED] No machine reachable after update 1.8
Result of wapt-get update-status:
Using config file: C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\wapt-get.ini
waptserver is not available or error in inventory. Update of status not properly sent.
I can ping the wapt server, and testing with Edge shows access to the local wapt site is OK.

Re: [SOLVED] No machine reachable after update 1.8
I've updated Windows on both the server and the client, disabled the firewall, and reinstalled the WAPT agent, but nothing works.
In the performance monitor, I can see the connections to the WAPT server via TCP/443 and TCP/80, but they're not showing up in the console.
I can't see the self-service packages...

Re: [SOLVED] No machine reachable after update 1.8
I have the same problem: two newly installed agents (version 1.8.0), and the status isn't showing up.
I've rebooted both the client and the server without success.
We'll see if sleeping on it helps!

Package proposal
Hello,
Following the Internet Explorer vulnerability on Windows 10, I'm wondering if a small WAPT package might be useful?
Here's what I've prepared by repurposing my computer startup script to install the WAPT agent:
echo %date% %time% >> \\srv01\jscript$\%computername ...

Re: Question about publishing WAPT via reverse proxy on the Internet
Thanks, that seems perfect. I have split DNS, so I can use the same DNS name and certificate internally and externally.
My main concern was that WebSockets wouldn't get through the reverse proxy, and that publishing WAPT resources on the internet might be inadvisable from a security standpoint.

And more generally, do you think this is a good idea or an aberration?
My WAPT server is currently running Windows 2012 R2, and I manage 60 clients using community version 1.7.4 6232.
