My tests are also running on VirtualBox here, and they're working. I'm trying to find the problem, but I'm a bit stuck.

Could it be a RAM issue? (IPXE downloads are done in RAM, so the machine would need at least 1 GB of RAM.)

Or perhaps the boot.wim file is corrupted; you could try regenerating the winpe file?

Hello sfonteneau,

I tried regenerating WinPE, without success. If the problem is with VirtualBox, then so be it.

Hopefully, I won't encounter the same problem in production.

Thanks anyway for the help.

Hello eliottiph,

just so you know, WADS development is done using VirtualBox 6.1 for testing before testing with physical hardware (Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, Acer, etc.)... Just be aware that the UEFI PXE boot mode is buggy in VirtualBox, but otherwise, legacy PXE boot works without any problems.

Regards,

Denis
