Hello, my package includes VLC. To perform a test, I uninstalled VLC and then ran an audit. WAPT shows a VLC error on the machine, so I right-clicked on the VLC error and selected "Forget." Since then, there have been no more errors, which seems normal. A simple question: how do I display or remove "Forget" packages?
Hello totié,
"Forget" in the context of WAPT means that the software or configuration installed by WAPT is no longer monitored by WAPT.
For example, if you upload a new version of software packaged with WAPT to your private store and the package has been left on the machine, then the WAPT agent will not see the package, and therefore will not install it on the machine.
For the WAPT agent to see the package again, you must reinstall the package on the machine.

Hello Totié and Vincent,
to add to Vincent's answer, there's a slightly gray area you might encounter: if you forget a package that's a dependency (through the machine package, the OU package, or something else), the calculation engine doesn't immediately display the missing package. This is because, since there haven't been any changes to the package that depends on the forgotten one, the calculation engine doesn't restart. The calculation will be redone when the machine package, OU, etc., is updated, or during a forced update.
Best regards,
Denis
