Hello,
how do I differentiate between packages imported from the WAPT repository and software imported from an MSI or EXE installer using the "private repository" interface?
Also, when I add software from an EXE or MSI file, for example VLC 2.0, how do I manually update it to VLC version 3.0?

Hello,
actually the documentation doesn't address this.
As you can see in the image below, I created a package that imported VLC from an executable and a Wazuh Agent package from the Wapt repository.
My question is how do I differentiate between the two packages, i.e., how do I know that VLC wasn't imported from the Wapt repository?
covers
updating packages imported from the Wapt repository, but not updating software imported from an executable.

Hello Tchoko,
embedding external images or files on the forum is not permitted, see the forum rules above. Please embed the image directly in the forum post. The WAPT version, server OS, client OS, etc., are missing, see the forum rules.
There are several pages dedicated to creating packages "from scratch" in the documentation. If any pages are unclear, it's best to link to the URL in question to see how they can be improved.
To differentiate a package imported from the store from one created internally, you can add a tag to the description or your name in the maintainer field.
Regards,
Denis
