WAPT server version: 2.5.5.15691
WAPT server OS: Linux Debian 12
Client OS: Up-to-date Windows 10
Samba server OS: Linux debian 12
Good morning.
My problem concerns both WAPT and Samba. This summer I installed a Samba and WAPT server following your documentation in order to replace my previous servers which were 7 or 8 years old (also following your documentation from that time).
For the deployment of waptdeploy, I used the method with the GPO which launches a script at session startup and shutdown.
Unfortunately, when a user logs in, I get the confirmation message below. I didn't experience this behavior with my previous servers, and the installation was "silent".
Sincerely.
[RESOLVED] GPO install WAPT auto deploy - untrusted location

Hello,
judging from the screenshot, it looks like you created a user GPO, right?
waptdepoy is normally launched with a computer GPO.

Hello Guillaume,
As Simon indicated, the GPO must be configured in machine mode, not user mode. However, regarding the message itself, is the domain name used indeed that of the Active Directory domain (and not a DNS alias)?
Alternatively, can you check if there is a "This file came from another computer and may be blocked to protect this computer" flag on the file in question (see screenshot below)?
Sincerely,
Denis

Hello.
Indeed, I hadn't noticed and had placed the GPO in the user section.
Thank you very much.
PS: I didn't see how to mark the topic as RESOLVED.

Hi Guillaume,
you can add the tag [RESOLVED] to the topic title to mark it as resolved. Then I'll make it read-only to prevent it from being reopened (otherwise it complicates forum moderation).
Thanks for the feedback, and have a good start to the new academic year.
Regards,
Denis
