Hello,
I tried to install the KBs for the Windows 11 24H2 update.
Everything installs normally except for PCs running Windows 11 24H2.
On these PCs, I get the following error if I manually run KB5046617: 0x800f0838.
I suspect the KB was already installed when I upgraded to 24H2.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Guillaume

Hello
, I have the same problem, the update is failing in WAPT, however, when going through Windows Update, this KB downloads and installs without any problem.

Hello.

And I assume that in your case, cab KB5046633 is considered installed?

I posted a message here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answe ... 23h2-or-24

It seems Microsoft is doing a bit of a mess with Windows 11 and the wsusscn2.cab file...

a 24h2 system sees the cumulative updates of a 22h2 and a 23h2 system...

I suspect the CAB file won't install because, technically, it's already more or less installed (KB5046633) with the previous cumulative updates.

Wapt doesn't calculate the necessary CAB files itself; it asks the Windows Update engine to do it, and Wapt only provides the wsusscn2.cab file.

So, apart from doing some (undesirable) workarounds in Wapt, there's not much you can do.

The problem is the same with the example scripts provided by Microsoft here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windo ... s=vbscript.

I'm waiting for a response from Microsoft, but whether it's free or paid support, it's a bit difficult to get hold of someone competent...

Well, we'll see if Microsoft gives any updates then!

Good morning

I restarted Microsoft, but I was just looking into the whys and wherefores.

It's not working for me, but I don't have your error, so I'm interested!

I have a lead.

I can't download one of the files:

http://dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/fil ... 97bd4f.wim.

It always gets stuck at 15%, so it crashes...

I'm looking to see if I can get the file from another URL.

Edit: We have more information; let's look here. ;)
